After putting on an MVP performance this past season in his sixth signature shoe, Kevin Durant’s Nike KD 7 has officially been unveiled with a striking design that’s inspired by the OKC Thunder star’s fascination with meteorology. Teaming up once again with Nike designer Leo Chang, Durant’s newest signature shoe is built to the exact specifications of the Weatherman, with a design that combines the quickness and forefoot flexibility typically reserved for a point guard, mixed with the stability and support commonly required by a power forward.

Personalized cues are featured on key spots including a silhouette of his homestate of Maryland embedded on the outsole, along with the names of his mother Wanda, his grandmother Barbara, his father Wayne and his brother Tony all included on the forefoot strap. Finishing touches find Hyperposite technology for added support, along with a visible Nike Zoom Air bag in the heel for cushioned comfort.

Take a closer look at the Nike KD 7 “35,000 Degrees” colorway below which launches on July 12th, followed by a commercial and video recapping the KD 7’s official unveiling below.
