Nike and the NBA are introducing a new era of team sportswear with the Nike NBA Standard Issue Collection for the 2026-27 season, bringing the same apparel worn by NBA players to fans across all 30 teams.
The new league-wide collection includes hoodies, pants, T-shirts, shorts and other basketball apparel designed to move between the court, training, travel and everyday wear. NBA players will wear pieces from the collection throughout the season during warmups, practices and team travel, with the same products also being made available for fans to buy.
The first Nike NBA Standard Issue retail drop is scheduled for September 15, 2026, followed by a second release on October 12, 2026. The collection will be available through Nike, NBA Store, Fanatics, Foot Locker and other select retailers.

Nike NBA Standard Issue Collection 2026-27
The new Standard Issue collection has been created as a connected apparel system for the entire NBA rather than a collection limited to a handful of teams.
All 30 NBA teams are represented.
Nike and the NBA designed the collection around the way basketball players actually dress throughout the day — from training and warmups to travel and time away from the court. The result combines performance-focused materials with relaxed basketball fits and team-specific colors and graphics.
According to the NBA, the collection includes:
- Hoodies
- Pants
- T-shirts
- Shorts
- Fleece apparel
- Performance basketball apparel
- Team-specific styles
Nike is using technologies and materials including Dri-FIT, Therma-FIT, Standard Issue Stretch, Aero-Fit and performance fleece across different pieces in the collection.

The Same NBA Apparel Worn by Players
One of the biggest changes with the 2026-27 Standard Issue program is the connection between player-issued apparel and what fans can actually buy.
NBA players will wear Standard Issue pieces during:
- Pregame warmups
- Practices
- Team travel
- Other off-court team activities
For the first time with this system, the NBA says every product worn by players will also be available to fans.
That makes the collection especially useful if you want the same Nike team gear that you see players wearing throughout the season rather than a separate fan-only version.

Nike NBA Standard Issue Apparel
The Nike NBA Standard Issue Collection 2026-27 extends across all 30 NBA teams with a mix of hoodies, fleece, pants, shorts, T-shirts and performance tops designed to connect what players wear throughout the season with what fans can wear themselves.
Rather than treating team apparel strictly as fan merchandise, Nike has built the collection around basketball performance, comfort and everyday style. The assortment combines modern oversized fits with both bold, oversized team graphics and more understated designs, giving you different ways to represent your favorite NBA team.
Nike says the collection was informed by feedback from more than 400 elite high school basketball players, 100 NBA athletes, all 30 NBA teams, and players and fans around the world, with that input helping shape the comfort, fit, feel and overall look of the apparel.
Hoodies and Fleece
Hoodies and fleece are a major part of the NBA Standard Issue lineup, combining team-specific graphics with silhouettes designed to work both around basketball and as everyday sportswear.
Nike incorporates bouncy fleece for performance-driven comfort, while select Standard Issue Stretch pieces combine Nike Dri-FIT technology, warmth and flexibility with roomier, modern fits. Details such as custom hardware, braided drawcords, woven labels and elevated finishes give the collection a more premium basketball-inspired look.
Look for team-specific styles throughout the season, including apparel representing the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves, Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs and the rest of the NBA.

Shorts and Pants
The collection also includes shorts and pants designed around the movement and comfort associated with modern basketball apparel.
Nike’s Standard Issue Stretch construction combines flexibility with Dri-FIT performance, while the broader collection uses modern silhouettes that can transition from basketball to everyday wear. Nike is also incorporating Aero-Fit into the collection to provide lightweight breathability and moisture management where performance is a priority.
Team colors and graphics carry across the bottoms, making it possible to pair pieces with corresponding Standard Issue hoodies and tops for a coordinated NBA look.

T-Shirts and Sleeveless Tops
T-shirts and sleeveless tops round out the Nike NBA Standard Issue assortment, with options ranging from bold team graphics to cleaner, more understated designs.
That two-level approach is intentional: Nike has developed expressive pieces with oversized graphics for fans who want team identity to stand out, alongside quieter treatments for a more subtle sportswear look.
The result is an NBA apparel collection that goes beyond traditional logo merchandise, combining team identity, basketball performance and modern sportswear styling across pieces designed for both athletes and fans.
Additional Nike NBA Standard Issue apparel is scheduled to arrive as part of the collection’s second retail drop on October 12, 2026, so SportFits will continue updating this guide with new products, prices and availability as more styles are released.

Why the New Standard Issue Collection Matters
The most interesting part of this collection is that Nike and the NBA are treating team apparel as more than traditional fan merchandise.
Instead of limiting the assortment to logo hoodies and basic tees, Standard Issue connects performance basketball apparel with the way NBA players dress around the game.
For you, that means more opportunities to shop the exact team apparel seen during warmups, practices and player travel throughout the season.
It also makes the collection worth following beyond the initial September release. New team styles, retailer availability, additional products and the October 12 second drop will continue expanding the range.
