Not only is the Nike Kobe XI about to debut this month, but the Black Mamba’s new lifestyle shoe from Nike Sportswear has also emerged with this “Metallic Gold” Nike Zoom Kobe Icon Jacquard release.
Inspired by some of Kobe Bryant’s favorite old school basketball sneakers, the Nike Zoom Kobe Icon features a zippered shroud design that’s reminiscent of Gary Payton’s Nike Zoom Air Flight The Glove shoe with a fused overlay system that’s influenced by Charles Barkley’s Nike Air Max CB34. The shoe’s wavy design lines mimic the Nike Air Max Up, along with a translucent outsole that’s borrowed from the Kobe XI. As for comfort, the kicks include a Nike Zoom unit for low-profile cushioning.
