Designed in honor of Kevin Durant’s late Aunt Pearl who passed away in 2001 from lung cancer, the Nike KD 7 “Aunt Pearl” is ready to release on Feb. 19 alongside a matching collection of gear to hook with the kicks.
Keeping the Aunt Pearl theme going strong for 2015, this latest tribute to KD’s favorite aunt draws inspiration from Durant’s angel tattoo which was completed on the 10-year anniversary of her passing. In signature style, a print of the actual tattoo is featured on the inside of the tongue, with a three-dimensional angel wing strap and wing-pattern detailing on the gold Swoosh logos to complete the look. Matching up with the shoes are the Nike KD 7 “Aunt Pearl” t-shirt and hat to top things off, along with matching pink Nike Basketball socks which feature the same Kay Yow Cancer Fund logo that’s stamped on the heel of the shoe.
Watch for the Nike KD 7 “Aunt Pearl” shoes to drop on February 19th, with the matching tee, cap and socks to come in the days leading up to the shoe’s limited edition release.
