After collaborating with famed industrial designer Marc Newson on the groundbreaking design ten years back, the modular footwear style has resurfaced in modern times with the same four-part construction that made it an instant classic in ’04.
Inspired by Newson’s experience at the Russian Space Agency, the multi-purpose ZVEZDOCHKA was conceptually created for cosmonauts, featuring a unique modular two-layer design that combines a flexible molded outer cage with removable mesh bootie. A Nike Zoom unit in the heel offers low-profile, highly responsive cushioning with a lightweight TPU cage upper for support and breathable mesh bootie for snug, ventilated comfort.
